Erik E. Alexander, M.D. Dr. Erik Alexander received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1988. He graduated from medical school at the University of Wisconsin in 1993. He completed his six year urology residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota in 1999. Dr. Alexander is a board certified urologist specializing in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy. During his residency at the Mayo Clinic, he developed an expertise in urologic oncology and advanced laparoscopy, and practices state-of-the-art surgery for all prostate conditions. He also treats men and women in all areas of urology including stone disease and urinary incontinence. Dr. Alexander is actively involved in conducting clinical trials and serves as an investigator. He is a professional member of the American Urologic Association and the western section of the American Urologic Association. Dr. Alexander was voted among the "Top Doctors of 2006" in Phoenix Magazine which features 374 of the Valley’s best physicians, as chosen by their peers. Dr. Alexander grew up in a small town in Wisconsin along Lake Michigan, where he spent his free time fishing and shoveling snow. He decided to trade in his fishing poles and shovels for golf clubs and warm weather. Dr. Alexander and his wife now reside in Scottsdale, where they enjoy outdoor activities. [ back to top ] |
