Micheal F. Darson, M.D. Dr. Darson received his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from The Ohio State University. He then earned his medical degree from Wright State School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, where he was awarded the Silver Scalpel Award for Outstanding Achievement in General Surgery and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his surgical internship at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus and his surgical urology residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Darson is board certified urologist and specializes in nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy via both open surgery and minimally invasive robotic assisted surgery. Dr. Darson also has interests in urologic oncology and laparoscopic surgery. He also treats all forms of prostate disease and conditions. Lastly, he treats men and women with all forms of urologic conditions. An active researcher, Dr. Darson has several scientific medical articles and lectures to his credit. Dr. Darson is a member of the American Urologic Association, Society of Urodynamics and Female Urology, Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons, and he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Darson grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where he enjoys most sporting activities but especially football and basketball. He is an avid Ohio State Football fan. More recently he has been active in golf and hiking. Prior to residing in Scottsdale, he was in practice New Orleans, Louisiana.
