Robert H. Shapiro, M.D. Dr. Robert Shapiro attended the University of Michigan, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of Engineering in 1987. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1991. He completed his residency training at the University of Washington Medical Center in 1997, one of the most respected urology programs in the country. Dr. Shapiro also has advanced training in male infertility, including microsurgical reconstruction. Dr. Shapiro is a board certified urologist. His specialties include urologic oncology, female urology (incontinence/pelvic prolapse) and kidney stone disease. He has expertise in minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy and robotic surgery. He also treats prostate disease and erectile dysfunction and performs no-scalpel vasectomies. Dr. Shapiro is actively involved in conducting clinical research trials and serves as an investigator. He is a professional member of the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and the Phoenix Urological Association. Dr. Shapiro's approach to patient care is to provide the most current and progressive medicine while emphasizing personal interaction, compassion and safety.
